On Friday, WME Group appointed Marie Sheehy as the new executive VP and head of communications, overseeing the company's communications strategy and operations. This includes the renowned WME talent agency, IMG Licensing, and Pantheon Media Group. With over two decades at WME, Sheehy will manage both internal and external communications, serving as the firm's lead spokesperson.
Marie Sheehy's Tenure at WME Group
Marie Sheehy joined the agency in 2005 when it was still known as the William Morris Agency. Throughout her time at WME, she has played a vital role in numerous significant transitions, including the merger with Endeavor, the acquisition of IMG, and the recent take-private deal by Silver Lake. Sheehy's expertise also extends to corporate communications for Endeavor Content, now known as Fifth Season, where she helped establish the studio.
According to co-chairmen Christian Muirhead and Richard Weitz, “Marie has been instrumental to WME for two decades and has helped steer the reputations of our company and our clients through countless milestones and constant evolution.” This recognition highlights her strategic influence and leadership within the organization.
