The 2026 San Francisco Art Book Fair (SFABF) is set to take place from July 23–26, celebrating a decade of art publishing and print culture. Organized by the Minnesota Street Project Foundation, this highly anticipated event will be held in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, bringing together independent publishers, artists, collectors, and enthusiasts from around the globe.
Overview of the San Francisco Art Book Fair
Since its inception in 2016, SFABF has evolved into one of the largest free annual arts events in the Bay Area. With a focus on independent publishing, the fair connects the rich history of the Bay Area with both national and international communities. This year, the fair will showcase an impressive roster of 160 exhibitors, including 30 international participants and 48 first-time exhibitors, across three buildings along Minnesota Street.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of special projects and talks in The Lounge. Highlights include a conversation with the SFABF founders, reflecting on the evolution of book fairs and the significance of this local event.
Featured Exhibitions and Installations
In conjunction with SFABF, the Minnesota Street Project Foundation will unveil a debut mural installation titled ART BEFORE DISHES (2015) by the late Bay Area artist Susan O’Malley. Additionally, the exhibition Thru THICK and THIN by artist Rose D’Amato will explore the typographic landscape of San Francisco through an innovative installation featuring windows, billboard structures, and reflective paintings.
