Emma Raducanu is determined to compete in her first-round match at Wimbledon on Monday, despite nursing a right-foot injury. The British No 1, seeded 30th, will face Antonia Ruzic at 1pm on No 1 Court. Raducanu expressed her commitment during a rescheduled pre-tournament press conference on Sunday.
Raducanu's Injury and Preparation
Raducanu revealed that she has pushed herself harder than usual in preparation for this tournament. "I’m going to do everything with my team in terms of treatment, and that’s the current plan. That’s the plan right now, to play," she stated. The injury has cast a shadow over her training, but her resolve remains strong.
