The woman suspected of carrying out a parcel bombing in Monaco has been found dead, according to Ukraine's security service (SBU). Anastasiia Berezovska, 39, was discovered buried in a forest in the Kyiv region on July 7, 2026, following a cross-border manhunt initiated after the bombing that injured a sanctioned Ukrainian multi-millionaire and his family.
Details of the Bombing Incident
The bombing occurred on June 29 when a package exploded in the entrance hall of an apartment building, injuring three individuals, two of them seriously. The attack targeted Vadym Yermolaiev, a prominent real estate developer and the 39th richest Ukrainian according to Forbes.
Following the explosion, Berezovska fled Monaco, reportedly heading to Italy and then to Germany. Interpol issued a red notice for her arrest, classifying her as a fugitive wanted for attempted murder and criminal conspiracy.
Discovery of Berezovska's Body
Berezovska's body was located in a forest with gunshot wounds to the head, according to an announcement from the SBU. Authorities have charged two men, including a current officer in Ukraine's military intelligence service, for her murder. The SBU stated that the suspects had communicated with Berezovska and allegedly conspired with her regarding the bombing.
