The trial of Claire Freemantle, the driver involved in a tragic crash at a Wimbledon school that resulted in the deaths of two eight-year-old girls, is scheduled for September 6, 2027. The incident occurred on July 6, 2023, during an end-of-term tea party at The Study Preparatory School in south-west London.

On that fateful day, Nuria Sajjad and Selena Lau were struck by a Land Rover driven by Freemantle. The vehicle crashed into the school grounds, leading to a devastating scene that left the community in shock. Freemantle, aged 49, faces serious charges including two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and seven counts of causing serious injury to others.
In addition to the fatalities, several other individuals sustained injuries during the incident. Among them were Nuria's mother, Smera Chohan, and another mother, Tamsyn Van De Vyver. The crash also left a third mother and her seven-month-old baby injured, along with two other eight-year-old girls and a seven-year-old girl.
