After celebrating the 30th anniversary of Bottle Rocket on Monday, Wes Anderson found himself trapped in an elevator at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures for approximately 30 minutes. The incident occurred alongside actor Luke Wilson and producer James L. Brooks, before the Los Angeles Fire Department intervened.
Details of the Elevator Incident
According to reports from Save Your Cinema, the elevator was described as "a secret passageway/elevator," intended for celebrities to enter and exit discreetly. However, The Hollywood Reporter could not verify if Anderson used an alternative entrance that is not accessible to the general public.
During the rescue, Anderson was heard asking LAFD officials what caused the malfunction. One responder humorously noted, "Probably had too much weight in there." Anderson responded, thanking them for their assistance.
