The body of Anastasiia Berezovska, a Ukrainian woman suspected of planting a parcel bomb in Monaco on June 29, was discovered near Kyiv on July 3, according to Ukraine's prosecutor general's office. Reports indicate that a military intelligence officer has been arrested in connection with her murder.
Details of the Monaco Bombing Incident
On June 29, a bomb attack in Monaco injured Ukrainian-born businessman Vadym Yermolaiev and his family. The explosion, which occurred in a public area, was aimed at Yermolaiev, a property developer who has faced sanctions from Ukraine due to alleged business ties in Russian-occupied Crimea.
Berezovska was later identified as a prime suspect in the bombing. She was wanted by Interpol on charges including attempted murder and placing an explosive device with criminal intent. After the attack, she fled Monaco, reportedly traveling through France and Germany.
Discovery of Berezovska's Body
Authorities confirmed that Berezovska's body was found with gunshot wounds to the head, along with pistol cartridges nearby. Her body was located close to Kyiv on July 3, around 11 p.m. local time. The prosecutor general's office stated that two men have been detained on suspicion of her murder.
