On July 4, former President Donald Trump will unveil a new initiative called Trump Accounts, aimed at establishing children’s savings accounts. According to a source familiar with discussions, Trump has approached SpaceX for a potential stock donation to support this program. The details regarding the donation remain uncertain as the program prepares to launch.
What are Trump Accounts?
Trump Accounts are a novel type of individual retirement account designed for children under 18. Parents can enroll their children using a dedicated app available for download. The program aims to provide a financial foundation for the younger generation.
As part of the initiative, children born between 2025 and 2028 are eligible for a one-time government contribution of $1,000. Currently, approximately 6 million children have registered for these accounts.
