Ollie Jenks and Seth Scott are on a remarkable journey to visit all 16 venues of the 2026 World Cup, traveling 10,000 miles in a traditional London black taxi. This adventure began on July 8, 2026, and aims to conclude at the World Cup final in New Jersey on July 19. Inspired by a BBC documentary, the duo is not only following the tournament but also helping fans in need.
Unique Road Trip Experience
Jenks and Scott's journey is more than just a road trip; it’s a quest filled with challenges and charitable intentions. They aim to raise money for charity while providing lifts to World Cup spectators who might struggle to afford tickets. “The average wage in Bosnia is like $800 a month... If we can maybe help out in some kind of way, we would have done a bit of a good deed,” said Jenks.
Before this trip, they completed a similar adventure in 2025, driving a three-wheel Reliant Robin from London to Cape Town. Jenks expressed, “When the World Cup announced it would be hosted in the USA, Canada and Mexico, I thought there would be no better opportunity to do a trip I dreamt of years ago.”
The Journey and Its Challenges
Traveling across North America has not been without its hurdles. Known as Abby the Cabby, their London taxi was in poor condition when they acquired it. “I looked at it and told Ollie, ‘we should not buy this, that is awful,’” Scott recalled. The taxi had not been driven for seven years and needed extensive repairs before the journey could officially start.
