Liverpool has officially completed the signing of Jérémy Jacquet from Rennes for £60 million. The 20-year-old defender has signed a five-year contract at Anfield, with an option for an additional year. This transfer was confirmed on Wednesday, following the completion of international clearance, after Liverpool outmaneuvered Chelsea and Bayern Munich for his signature.
Details of the Transfer
The transfer fee consists of an initial £55 million, with an additional £5 million in performance-related add-ons. Jacquet, who is highly regarded in European football, will bolster Liverpool's defensive options as he recovers from a recent injury.
