Liam Rosenior has been named the new manager of Paris FC on Friday, July 7, 2026, after a brief stint at Chelsea. The 41-year-old coach replaces Antoine Kombouare following Paris FC's underwhelming 11th-place finish in Ligue 1 last season. Rosenior has signed a two-year contract with the club, which includes an option for an additional year.
Rosenior's Coaching Journey
Before joining Chelsea, Rosenior had a successful tenure at Strasbourg, where he led the club to a seventh-place finish in 2024-25, securing a spot in the UEFA Conference League with one of the youngest squads in Europe. His coaching career began with Brighton's Under-23s, followed by a role as Wayne Rooney's assistant at Derby County.
After taking over as interim boss at Derby, he was appointed head coach of Hull City in 2022, guiding them to a 15th-place finish in his first season and improving to seventh in his second season. Despite missing out on the playoffs, Rosenior's reputation for developing young talent and playing attractive football was a key factor in his hiring by Paris FC.
Expectations at Paris FC
Paris FC, owned by the Arnault family with Red Bull as a minority shareholder, aims to elevate its status in French football. The club expressed confidence in Rosenior's experience and ability to foster a winning culture. “We believe in his wealth of experience at the highest level and his commitment to attractive and attacking football,” the club stated.
