Lauren Bennett, a British singer known for her role in LMFAO's hit song Party Rock Anthem and as a founding member of the girl group G.R.L., has passed away at the age of 37. Her fellow G.R.L. members, Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton, and Paula van Oppen, announced her death on Instagram on Monday. The cause of her death has not been disclosed.
In their heartfelt statement, the group expressed their sorrow, stating, "It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren. Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us. We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us. Lauren Bennett's Musical Journey
Bennett began her career in music when she appeared on the U.K. version of The X Factor in 2006, although she was eliminated prior to the live shows. In 2007, she joined the girl group Paradiso Girls, created by Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin. The group released their debut single Patron Tequila in 2009 but disbanded the following year.
Her breakthrough came in 2011 when she was featured on LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem, a track that topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for six weeks. This collaboration significantly boosted her visibility in the music industry.
