In an exclusive interview, Kit Connor and Joe Locke discuss their experiences filming Heartstopper Forever, the concluding feature-length film of Netflix's groundbreaking queer coming-of-age drama. Set near Maidenhead, Berkshire, the film explores the challenges of young love and identity as the characters transition into adulthood.
Heartstopper Forever: A New Chapter
The final installment of Heartstopper follows Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke) as they navigate university life and relationship complexities. The film, produced after two successful seasons, aims to portray a more realistic view of teenage experiences, including the exploration of sexuality and emotional challenges.
According to Connor, “If I’d had my way, I would have had Nick and Charlie cheating on each other and doing all those stupid things,” highlighting the film’s intention to present authentic teenage behavior without judgment. The film includes significant themes of love, jealousy, and personal growth.
Behind the Scenes: Creating Heartstopper
