Kevin Weil, a prominent tech executive with experience at Twitter, Meta, Planet Labs, and OpenAI, has been appointed to the board of Stoke Space, a Seattle-based startup focused on developing reusable rockets. This announcement comes as Stoke aims to compete with industry leader SpaceX in the burgeoning space launch market.
Stoke Space's Vision for the Future
Founded in 2020, Stoke Space is on a mission to revolutionize space travel through innovative rocket technology. Andy Lapsa, CEO of Stoke, emphasized the importance of Weil's involvement, stating, "I came out of engineering, started a company, had no idea how to fundraise. I had no idea how Silicon Valley worked. I had no network."
Weil, along with his wife Elizabeth, was an early investor in Stoke through their fund, Scribble Ventures. His extensive background in technology and investment is expected to provide crucial insights into fundraising and strategic growth for the company.
Why Kevin Weil's Expertise Matters
