Republican strategist Karl Rove stated on Monday that Iran might instigate "problems" to undermine President Trump in the lead-up to the midterm elections in November. Speaking with Fox News’s Paul Gigot, Rove emphasized the tactical awareness of Iranian officials regarding the timing of U.S. elections.
Iran's Strategic Calculations Ahead of Midterms
Rove noted, "The Iranians are not dumb. They know that the fall campaign starts in earnest on Labor Day." This suggests that Iran may take actions designed to disrupt the political landscape as the elections approach.
According to Rove, the potential for Iran to create diplomatic or military challenges is significant. The timing of these actions could be critical, as they may coincide with heightened voter engagement and media attention.
