Julian Nagelsmann, head coach of the German national football team, stated on Tuesday that he will not resign following Germany's elimination from the World Cup at the hands of Paraguay. The team was ousted in a penalty shootout, prompting discussions about his future.
Nagelsmann's Commitment to the Team
After the disappointing exit, Nagelsmann remarked, “I am not someone who runs away.” He emphasized his desire to continue in the role, provided the DFB (German Football Association) supports his continuation. He acknowledged the need for changes within the team but expressed his dedication to improving the situation.
“This is not the first time this has happened,” Nagelsmann added, highlighting his experience in the football industry. He is aware that many fans may want him to step down, but he reiterated, “I would love to continue if the football association wants me to.”
