Psychic Fever, the seven-member Japanese boy band, released their second full-length album, Different, on July 10, 2026. The album showcases the unique sounds and styles of each member, emphasizing their desire not to conform to traditional norms.
Celebrating Diversity in Music
Four years after their debut, Psychic Fever built Different around the concept of individuality. Members Kokoro, Weesa, Tsurugi, Ryoga, Ren, Jimmy, and Ryushin each contributed to the songwriting process, making it their most personal work to date.
The band’s sound on this album is eclectic, drawing influences from various genres, including Y2K-inflected R&B, U.K. garage, Afrobeats, trap, and ballads. This variety is a testament to their commitment to showcasing their differences rather than fitting into a single box.
Production and Collaborations
Produced by Grammy-nominated Rykeyz, known for his work with artists like Chris Brown and H.E.R., Different features 10 tracks that highlight the band's versatility. Each member's unique perspective is reflected in the album's lyrical content and musical arrangements.
