Esmir Bajraktarević, a promising soccer talent from Appleton, Wisconsin, made his senior debut for the US National Team against Slovenia in January 2024. Having progressed through the ranks of U.S. youth soccer, he also played a key role in helping the U.S. qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
From Appleton to the National Stage
Born and raised in Appleton, a city known for its rich history, Bajraktarević's journey began at the Chicago Fire academy. His skills caught the attention of the New England Revolution, where he honed his craft further.
His involvement in youth national teams started with the U-19s and expanded to the U-23s, showcasing his potential on larger platforms.
Making History with the US Team
Bajraktarević's inclusion in Gregg Berhalter's January 2024 squad marked a significant milestone in his career. He expressed his gratitude, stating, “It’s an honor to represent my country at the highest level.”
