Crystal Palace has officially signed defender Oscar Mingueza from Celta Vigo on a free transfer, announced on July 9, 2026. The 27-year-old Spaniard has joined the club on a four-year contract and becomes new head coach Pierre Sage's first signing of the summer.
Oscar Mingueza's Career Highlights
Mingueza, a product of Barcelona's prestigious La Masia academy, made his senior debut in 2020 and went on to make 66 appearances for the club. In 2022, he transferred to Celta Vigo, where he showcased his skills by scoring 7 goals and providing 15 assists over 147 appearances.
Expressing his enthusiasm about the move, Mingueza stated, "It is an honour to be joining Palace and I am really excited to be at Selhurst Park." Despite his accomplishments, he has been capped four times by the Spanish national team and was not included in manager Luis de la Fuente's 26-man squad for the upcoming World Cup.
