BBC Commercial reported a remarkable 17% increase in EBITDA, reaching £267 million ($357.1 million) for the 2025/26 financial year, largely thanks to the success of the animated series Bluey. This growth was highlighted on July 14, 2026, amidst a challenging market landscape.
Financial Performance Overview
Despite a flat revenue of £2.2 billion ($2.94 billion), BBC Commercial's profit after tax rose by 9% to £71 million ($95 million). The growth in specific sectors helped counterbalance declines in others, showcasing resilience in their business model.
Moreover, BBC Commercial returned £377 million ($504.2 million) to the BBC, a slight decrease from £391 million ($523 million) the previous year. This included dividends of £197 million ($263.5 million), up from £161 million ($215.3 million), and content investments of £154 million ($206 million), down from £200 million ($267.5 million).
